FAQs for Reopening
When are we reopening our church campuses?
We are currently open! Join us at 9:00am at the Fincastle Campus, and 10:45am at both Highlands and Fincastle Campuses.
Will you continue to offer online services?
We will continue to broadcast both the 9:00AM & 10:45AM services from the Fincastle Campus via Facebook, our website and fincastlebaptist.online.church.
When will the services meet?
Presently we are not planning on changing the service times. Our Fincastle Campus will meet on Sunday at 9:00AM & 10:45AM and our Highlands Campus will meet at 10:45AM.
What about Connect Groups?
Presently we are not planning on changing when Connect Groups meet. Our Fincastle Campus has Connect Groups that meet on Sunday at 9:00AM & 10:45AM and our Highlands Campus Connect Groups meet at 9:30AM.
I have heard some churches have to pre-register or sign-up in advance to attend service. Do I need to sign-up?
NO. The capacity at both our Worship Centers should allow us to fit within the 50% requirement and 6 foot separation as outlined by the Governor’s Executive Order 70.
What will the services be like?
Since We are now offering Nursery, Preschool, Kids Church, Kids Connect, and other Connect Groups during our services. Services will proceed “as normal” as allowed by the CDC and Governor’s Executive Orders.
How do we plan to keep our campuses clean & people safe?
We are planning a “touch free” service. This means no passing the offering plates and all doors will be opened so no one will have to touch a handle. Sermon notes will be available online here and we will encourage online giving, but we will also have offering boxes in back of the worship center(s). We will not be having a “greeting” time during the service and we will be encouraging people to NOT shake hands or hug, but to practice social distancing.
As per the Governor’s regulations, signs will be posted denying access to the building for anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 or who has had known exposure to a COVID-19 case in the past 14 days.
Both campuses are receiving a deep cleaning. We have consulted with officials at Carillon Roanoke Memorial and will be disinfecting the worship centers each week with the same cleaning agents used in ambulances. In addition, we have purchased an atomizer cleaner to allow us to clean the chairs, pews and carpets.
In order to comply with Executive Order 70, masks are available at the Guest Services desk.
