Building On The Purposes of God

Using Christ’s Great Commandment and Great Commission as our blueprint, every service, event, and ministry has been designed to fulfill one of the five purposes Jesus established for His church.

  • Changing lives through Worship
  • Changing lives through Teaching
  • Changing lives through Outreach
  • Changing lives through Fellowship
  • Changing lives through Service

Every purpose needs a place.  These 5 purposes don’t just happen in a vacuum.  Each requires space.  So, we desire to build instruments for "serving God’s purpose in our generation" (Acts 13), not monuments.  We realize buildings don’t change lives, but what goes on inside of them can. Therefore,

  1. Our purpose must remain clear: "We purpose to worship God; introduce others to Him; encourage one another; grow in our relationship with Jesus; and care for each other, our community, and our world."
  2. Our priorities must remain clear: "The Word of God and people."
  3. Our passion must remain clear: "Whatever it takes!"

As a result of God’s blessings, the ministries of the past, and the obedience of His people, "the place where we meet is too small for us" (II Kings 6:1).  And due to the fact we believe "the fields are ripe for harvest" (John 4:35), the needs of people are great, and the time to reach them is now, we must prayerfully consider our part in Strengthen and Enlarge.

Your sacrifice will enable us to improve our capital position in a way that would allow us to carry on with the planning and design of future facilities so that we may be ready to proceed with construction as the Lord provides.

Expanding God's Kingdom
We believe it’s a rare privilege to be part of what God is doing through FBC.  Our congregation is impacting lives and families for Christ every day.  Now we have the opportunity to be pioneers in a sense, to lay the foundation for the future.  Continuing to expand our facilities will not only bless us and our children, but also future generations.

For the next 36 months, we’ll all need to make a special commitment in addition to our regular giving so we can expand our facilities.  Several members of the Strengthen and Enlarge leadership team are making the largest sacrificial gifts they’ve ever made.  We urge you to seek the Lord’s will as you pray about what you’ll give.  Remember our challenge...

"Not Equal Gifts, But Equal Sacrifice"

God is waiting for us to demonstrate our faith through our giving.  The need is obvious.  The solution is obvious.  Let's continue to Strengthen and Enlarge God's Kingdom.
